DO I NEED TO BE A WOMAN?

Do we need to belong to a particular group or nationality before my opinion is of merit?
Do I need to be a woman to have an opinion on reproductive issues?
Does my heterosexuality bar me from having any views on homosexuality?
Do I have to be religious to be able to reflect on the G-d question?
Do I need to be English to understand the intricacies of the English meat pie?

  • Of course not. To define is to limit one's endless potential.

All you need is to be you.

To a femnazi you need to be a woman.. But don't worry about them.. If you have an opinion share it when you want and let the hate they throw at you slide off you like water off a ducks back :)

And since you wrote G-d instead of God it clearly shows you are religious.....

  • What if I were to go to an Australian, for example, and lecture him on the best ways to handle the Cane Toad problem? Wouldn't that be presumptuous of me?

  • Perhaps I want to show respect to those who are. Some people get offended by the explicit writing of the word. Why would I not want to not offend?
I understand your point however, and appreciate you reading and writing.

    I am a feminist, btw.

Did you ever consider that by writing it G-d you are offending people who think it is important to write the word God ?

    """" I am a feminist, btw.""""

Then you will probably end up hating on me at some stage..   If you do not hate me already that is..

  • You wouldn't have not the slightest inclination of telling the person off?
    At all?
I admit that it would be difficult for me.
    Thank you for writing.

  • I don't hate you Adam.
Not at all. I don't know you. It's ok to disagree with me.
Your question about the G-d thing got me thinking.
    Good question!
Well, I figure that if I don't believe in G-d, it shouldn't matter to me what or how "them" write it. I couldn't really care less. If I didn't, which is not saying I do. Or don't.
    Thanks again for writing Adam.

    Fili..

"""Maybe Adam you would like to share your beliefs in oppose to mocking others!""""

That is my intention.  I may fail at times because i am a human given over to bouts of faultiness.. But i believe i should avoid mocking people personal.. But attaching ideas?? Nothing wrong with attacking ideas..  Now sometimes people think others are attacking them when they attack the ideas they hold dear... People can get confused when they are hurt emotionally because someone else's views conflict directly with their heart felt views.. They hold their Positions so close to their hearts that they cannot distinguish between an attack on their views and an attack on their person...

  • I'll be the first to admit that some people take advice badly ... and they're generally the ones that need it the most ... if you can show me a better way of doing something I'm all ears

  • The question is not about advice, totally.

It's about our attitude concerning an outsider and his opinions. If an Australian comes and professes authority on any American issues, my first reaction would be to tell her to butt out. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying it's a natural reaction for many, including me, even if they have the knowledge, even if they do the research, even if they know stuff.

Are you not that way? Ever?

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, regardless of the subject, whatever labels they may sport, or how it might affect them personally.  Whether others feel your opinion has merit or not is...well, their opinion.

No i did not miss that Fifi.. What does that have to do with the fact that you told me not to mock others and at the very same time you mocked AC?    You apology is your acknowledgement that you mocked AC.. So my comment was 100% correct..
