Being born.  If we did not have the innate programming to improve, we would still be in diapers or dead.

Actually I am worse at doing things I used to due to physical problems. Some I can't do at all.

You're not a puppy any more m'dear. It happens to all of us. The alternative sucks so I'll take getting older and whatever comes with it.  I think I am far more curious now than I ever was. I always liked to learn things I didn't know  Ele. I guess I am a perennial student. But I don't remember having so many questions about so many things so much of the time. Of course the current  political environment is a good instigator. When ya got a nutjob like Trump running for prez and millions of your fellow citizens embracing/adoring/supporting/defending him no matter what he says it is inevitable to keep asking "what in the he** is going on" or "Fer cryin out loud how can we possibly WANT a person who lacks so much be responsible for leading the country". And so on and so on and so on. And as I get older I think more about  why we're here and why after so many thousands of years we haven't learned how to get along with one another? It's uplifting and depressing but it's better than not being here at all.  What are YOU better at now that you're older? Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)

Observing...nature, people. Almost everything. I used to be too busy to just watch. Now I do a lot of it. My sister and I will sit down at the river and talk and watch things all around us. I can now recognize about 6 different Cardinal calls. I have noticed over the past few years things are happening with the wildlife here that I can only explain with climate change.

I think you just nailed  it m'dear. I do. "I used to be too busy to just watch. Now I do a lot of  it"! Me too and I didn't even realize it!  That's it. If you don't watch/observe then life just passes right by you and what you missed you miss for all time. Thank you for your thoughtful reply AND the insight . I totally agree with thee Ele! Happy Friday! :)
