Do have a caboodle?

How about this for a new expletive phrase:  I don't give a caboodle?

    No.  My daughters had them growing up.  I would always refer to them as their tackle boxes.

    A lot of people do not know what a caboodle is. It usually mean 'a lot of stuff' (The whole kit and kabodle);
    but that is hardly what is meant in your sentence "I don't give a caboodle" there the meaning is more likely 'very little' or even 'something unwanted' (as in 'I don't give a rats ass')

    Sorry.

    I wasn't going for anything meaningful.  I just like the sound of it.  And few if any would know you weren't making and sense if you said that.  They might think you know what a caboodle is while they don't. This post was edited by CallMeIshmael at May 25, 2018 5:39 PM MDT
