Deliver us from evil". A metastasizing cancer is killing the USA. Even those who don't pray should. What could it hurt?

The inhuman being aka the bogus bonespur prez. Every day he is "in  power" he will destroy something more that used to be precious/valued. Why he is doing this I do not know. That he is doing this is obvious and inescapable. Sitting on the sidelines feeling impotent to stop it? We gotta do something.

  • Many of us HAVE been praying. Fervent daily supplication on behalf of the nation and its future, should be part of anyone's meditation and prayer life. The times are perilous, yet exciting ones in which to be alive. I can't think of any other more momentous age in the world's history than the one in which we live. Your metaphor of a metastasizing cancer is an appropriate one indeed. The condition we find ourselves didn't happen over night. Over condition has been decades in development. The decline has been steady. We are seeing the bitter harvest of what we planted in our midst over time. We cultivated the environment of immorality. We made the decision to be sloven, lazy and unethical in every aspect of life. We decided that dependence on government was the answer and not self reliance, initiative and responsibility for one's self. We are the ones who have stood in rebellion to legitimate authority, chipping away constantly at civil liberty. We are the ones who have subverted rhyme, reason, understanding and faith. We are bankrupt and bereft of character and integrity and it's all been an inside job. "We have met the enemy and he is us" declared the comic strip "Pogo" years ago. We've walked the road that leads to destruction compliments of our flirtation with leftist/socialist ideology and have embraced the lies that go with it. But, all of us haven't been taken in and there lies the cure for the cancer. I find it interesting that you are willing to try prayer as a cure for our numerous ills. Our rejection of faith and a higher power was supposed to lead us into some enlightened humanistic state, one in which we didn't need God because we were God and as such, we possessed the answers. Personally, I like the promise God made to any of us still interested enough to try and salvage the nation: If my people, who are called by my name, will turn from their wicked ways and repent, then will I hear from Heaven and heal their land....(paraphrase)

So ynder your plan you'd demand that even atheists have to pray?  Wow, desperation causes this wild-eyed fanaticism to go way overboard, I see.
