*sniffle*
My impression from parents I've observed is they obsess over the first child, then grow increasingly lax with subsequent children.
I think for a lot of parents having the last one go to kindergarten (and be out of their hair 6-7 hours per day) is a huge relief. So I'm guessing sending off the first one is harder...;-D...
Well, ours were only 7-minutes apart age-wise so the first-born vs. last-born part of the question isn't really relevant. And they didn't leave to "go off" to school until they were just a skosh past 17. And that was the local community college, not kindergarten
But it was still tough for "mom".
First. For me everything was harder the first time.
If memory serves the first one is worse.
Exactly and mine are 10 1/2 years apart so the second time was like the first time all over again.
I only had one, and yes it was very hard. I cried all day.
It was hard enough watching my only child go off to kindergarten .. and even harder to see him go off to College and then the Navy!!!! That made sending him to Kindergarten look like a walk in the park!!!!!
