I would be.  I am thinking it will go good for you, but I know that it is hardly the same as when you were young.  By now you are both past any worries about issues and where you stand, I am sure.  I think if you see one another you will focus on your family and what everyone's been doing.

    You should have fun.

Here's the backstory. Our younger sisters are going to their high school reunion in October which will bring my sister and her husband from Carson City, Nevada to southern California. My friend's sister saw my sister's name on the list of folks who planned to attend the reunion and contacted her and said her older sister (my friend Gail) would love to reconnect with me. So she sent my sister her phone number and Gail's phone number which my sis forwarded to me and I called Gail and we chatted a bit. So Saturday we're driving to West Covina (66 miles from Hemet) to meet for breakfast at 10:00am. The last time I saw her was at our 25th high school reuinion. I invited her and her hubby over for dinner and they reciprocated and that was it. We never saw each other again. Here's my main worry. What if she is a rich white Republican who adores Bimbo Don? Worst case scenario? AARRGGHH! We will manage to get through breakfast and that will be the end of that. I'm not gonna bring up politics. Maybe she won't either and maybe it will be fun! I have no idea whom has become nor she me. If she is a Progressive Dem then I dodged a bullet. We met in first grade and were best friends through high school until in the 10th grade she kind of dumped me and started going with a 'fast" crowd. They smoked behind the gym! They were the "cool" kids. Anyway I told my sister of my fears and she said to just relax, cool it and see what happens.Gail's husband (high school sweethearts) died 17 years ago of cancer. Her daughter lives with her. Her son lives in D.C. and just retired from the FBI! Now you know as much as I do. Nervous Nelly here sighing off. Thank you for your reply Sharon! :) I'll leetcha know what happened.
