Ya there is a bit of strategy to the tariffs the World is placing on the US -  some of them target the products from the States that are held by Trump. So after people in those States start loosing their jobs they will get sick of eating span all the time and dump Trump like a hot potato. Cheers!

Since everything don juan does makes no sense because he is senseless it shouldn't surprise folks. If you treat "friends" like crap why have enemies? They can be both! Thank you for your reply Nanoose and Happy Tuesday! It's Election Day in California! We mailed our ballots in on May 14. Today we see what the results are! :)

What sounds good in thought or on paper may not be good in reality.

I don't think Trump knows what the term "think before you act" means.  If something sounds good to him he quickly jumps in and does it, oblivious to the consequences of his actions.  Every action has consequences - good or bad.  Toss a rock into a pool of still water and it makes ripples.  Sure the rock is gone, but its effects (ripples) keep going.  And the drops from the splash the rock made created ripples of their own.  Agering ones allies is never a good idea, as allies can quickly turn into enemies (as history has repeatedly shown).  There are better ways to solve differences than launching an all out trade war.  All wars (be they military or whatever) are extremely costly and there are many casualties (on all sides).  Has Trump counted the cost of his actions, or is he plowing ahead full steam ahead into a potential minefield?
He claims that he's keeping promises he made earlier.  Perhaps he should have thought about the consequences of keeping those promises before he made them.  Oh, wait ... there's that pesky "think before you act" thing again.  When it comes to thinking, Trump fails miserably!

Make sure brain is in gear before engaging mouth

Well I can't understand his thinking on the steel and aluminum tariffs 25% on steel and 10% on aluminum. Sometimes I think the way he came up with the numbers is steel is way heavier then aluminum so it gets a 25% tariff  and since aluminum is way lighter then steel it only gets a 10% tariff. Cheers!

Thank you for your thoughtful reply Shuhak.  Can you give me ONE GOOD REASON WHY don juan would do this? JUST ONE? If you treat your "friends" and "allies" as if they are enemies/competitors there should be a  dam* good reason. I confess I cannot think of one! Very perplexing! Happy Tuesday! Election Day in California is today. We mailed our ballots in on May 14. I'm anxious to see how it all turns out! :)

"Duh-n" Trump has no allies. He has himself (and the 2 are quite proud of each other).  I cannot give you a good reason as much of what he does defies reason.

I dropped off my ballot Saturday (I don't trust the mail).

Good job m'dear. Now we wait and wonder until all votes are counted and verified by the Secretary of State. I truly think don juan loathes himself and all the superficial self-love is just an act. A big lie. Because we know when folks are truly confident and like themselves they have no need to brag. They let others do it for them. Simple. Incontrovertible fact. The superduper don juan is a fake/phony.

Iowa or Idaho farmers who voted for don juan are very unhappy. I'm guessing other farmers or business folks whom this will impact directly or indirectly can't be delighted either. It's Congress that is the problem. Spineless wimps.  Supposed to be part of our check-and-balance system. Like a 3-legged chair except one leg is broken and the other leg keeps getting attacked. I think I'm gonna ask. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Zack and Happy Tuesday! :)
