    Yes, they should put their hands over their hearts to show proper respect.

    There should not be a penalty for not doing it, however.

    Don't they represent a country where people are free to express themselves? I see no wrong doing as long as they don't agitate against their country.

    I think it's far more concerning when people running for puplic office won't show respect towards the democracy. That would be something, but this? .
