I actually eat more almond butter than peanut butter but have one or the other daily with an apple or a banana.

My Pbutter expires in about a year hence. I eet somewhat more than a liter jar per month as a between meal snack. I don't like it with bread.

Sounds like you eat it regularly before it can expire.
    That's a good habit.

    Dang it, another one.
For every one that I'm wrong there were probably 20 people who read this, checked their peanut butter and rushed themselves directly to the emergency room.
We'll probably never hear how many times I was right.

You don't need to go to the emergency room unless you're allergic to peanuts.

That's true, but the only thing worst than a horrible reaction to peanuts may be accompanying it with diarrhea from expired peanut butter.
I'm not totally sure of what happens from eating year old peanut butter.
Could be death, but I hope not.

Not likely you will die from eating year old peanut butter.

I wouldn't know because I've never had a jar that long.  I don't buy a very big one and I finish it before the expiration date.

Mine never gets a chance to expire. I eat it out of the jar when my glucose drops.

Sorry to hear about your health issue.
I eat it out of the jar too.
It tastes good, but I just feel kind of yucky after eating a few spoonfuls.
It's so scummy and sticky, you know?
It feels like I ate glue or something, but it is tasty. This post was edited by Summer at June 7, 2018 6:57 AM MDT

I may have just saved your life, unless you keep eating it of course. LoL! This post was edited by Summer at June 7, 2018 6:57 AM MDT
