Where do ideas come from if not through your senses observing the world around you? What if you were unable to see/hear/touch/feel/smell?

Could you still create/invent/imagine/think? How? What would be the tools with which you could do that?

Creative ideas can come to a person or certain persons via the infinite depths of their subconscious where they may acquire visions/intuitive thoughts that that may be from distance in time or place during their dreamtiimes or deep thought meditations.

I imagine a person would need to have at least a sense of vision and hearing ability in order to be able to inspire any of their dreamtime visions or ideas to occur that make them the notable artists,  authors or inventors of the times. Helen Keller was born deaf and blind and through her other senses she became someone very special. I expect what you say is true Kg. You have the use of some sense(s) in order to experience the world. Without that I cannot even imagine what such a life would be like. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday!  :)
