Let's see...Anything divided by itself is one, zero divided by anything is zero, and anything divided by zero is infinity.

That means zero divided by zero is zero, one and infinity. Do you think I could start a new religious cult based on these premises? The Universe is infinite, zero and one.

    Yeah.  Makes sense to me.\\

Here is our representation of the biggest zero we could find.

Um… I think I see a teeny-tiny flaw in your logic.  Zero has to be a “thing”, because if it weren’t it wouldn’t exist.  I mean, according to math, zero is a number (be it a single zero or an infinite (omega) amount of zeros), and a number is a “thing” (not to mention it’s also a car).  Therefore, zero must be included in an “anything” (any thing).  You stated a proven mathematical fact - “anything divided by itself is one”.  However, since zero is actually a ‘thing’, then zero divided by itself MUST equal one.  Therefore, the premise of your religion should be “the Universe is infinite and one”.  Which actually means, “The universe is infinite plus one” (Universe = omega +1)".  But wait a minute… if you can add 1 to infinity, then infinity isn’t really infinite, since adding 1 to something makes that thing more than the sum of itself.  That means infinity is actually sub-infinite or, in plain terms, finite.  That would mean the premise of your religion would really be, “The universe is finite and … uh … one?” … (uh-oh).   Um ... never mind.

You'd better close those quotes before Randy sees that.

Don't worry about me; I'm a lot of things, but a meat-gazer is not one of them.

Whew!  Sometimes when I forget to close my quotes I have a dangling participle.

(where is your mind going?  I'm simply talking about the english language)

This is wrong. Zero is a non-entity, the lack of a thing. Zero represents the quantity of nothingness.

You cannot divide nothing, nor can you multiply nothing. You said it yourself, zero divided by ANYTHING is zero.
So: Zero plus, minus, times, or divided by itself is still zero.

    Therefore:
Your proposed religion would be founded on a basic fallacy, which would give it something in common with most other religions. This post was edited by Don Barzini at June 11, 2018 3:06 PM MDT

Yes...absolute zero is infinitely cold, one might say.
