It's the collective salvation concept, you'd be surprised how popular it among politicians.

I actually think he was talking about being able to get rid of the Johnson rule.  

But either way that is not how he or anyone else is getting to heaven.

I see no light at the end of the tunnel for him m'dear. He doesn't either apparently because he is now setting up  the case that the only way he can lose is if the Dems cheat. He is beyond nuts. There's a little piece of irony in your assertion. This upcoming general election will in fact have more questionable chicanery. It's my belief that it would be the case regardless of who the opposition would be for Democrats. The Democrats have excelled in such since 1844 when they stole the presidential election from the Whigs. Let's not forget the doctored returns from 1960 either. Who am I to question it if the results are what the electorate wants.This is a rare occasion when Trump is mouthing what's on most people's minds. There wouldn't be so much conversation out there about it if there wasn't anything to it.
