How much money do you usually spend on your kid's birthday presents?

Now that they're grown, I don't spend a lot at birthdays. I don't like to buy gifts just for the sake of buying something. I pick up things for them when I see something I really think they'll like and give them these things throughout the year.

When they were younger, probably $200 on average. Sometimes we did birthday trips and that was obviously more.

That sounds pretty good, I think I probably spent close to that.
Lego is so expensive these days.

I don't, and I guess Mama didn't either because I don't remember the subject ever being mentioned.

    Awww....I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm not big on celebrating holidays or even my own birthday, but I think every child should experience being celebrated occasionally.
At least to not feel left out, I guess?

I hope you're next birthday is wonderful.

My daughter is grown and I generally give  her money.  I don't buy gifts at Christmas in any big way.  I might send a little something for the kids.  I either give the grandchildren great birthday gifts or a big check.

Wow!! They're lucky to get some money.
    I like getting money too.
My mom asked if I wanted a gift card and I just told her "Cash is fine."
    : )
