Tis an interesting concept.. and I admire the depth of your thinking today... However, I am going to say that I think most things aren't hidden, it's just that a) we are often too lazy to look and b) we often don't know what to look for. Actually, that sounds better the other way round, but you get the meaning I think most of it's there if we can be bothered to look
