    The First Amendment to the US Constitution:

    “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech....”

    No religion is specifically protectable by law (in most modern democracies), only the equally free exercise of all beliefs is.
