It's 94F and the humidity is over 60%. Why would my very long furred cat prefer to stay outdoors? It's75F in the house.

Cats love heat.  I used to have a cat that I had to pry out from behind the window blinds on blistering hot days, as she insisted in spending the summer in the window (full southern sun).  From there she'd go and sit atop the water heater.

I have no idea.  I had a Persian and I kept all of hair shaved off.  Yeah, she was funny looking but I could not deal with hair in my house at all.  In the summer, even with no hair, she would lie on the floor air conditioning vents.  She didn't like hot weather at all.
