Have you ever been in a confusing relationship?

I have been in situations where a woman loves me and everything make's sense.
Then it it can start to fade and feel distant, but usually my partner will still tell me that everything's good.
I feel like sometimes maybe they just aren't that into me anymore, but they never want to let me go either.
I get so confused.

Have you ever been in a confusing relationship?

I think the only relationships that are never confusing are the ones that don't involve more than one human.

Every single one has been so, and that ultimately has led to their demise.

Yeah, it's kind of like it goes in stages or something?
They should teach it in science class "The relationship cycle."
Flirting, infatuation, love, complacency, drifting apart, lies, games, pain and repeat. LoL!
    I hope that's not true.
Where's the happily ever after right?
We have to hold onto the hope that we will eventually find happiness somehow.

There are books and articles on normal relationship cycles. We don't pick healthy partners, though, so all bets are off and the roller coaster ensues. :/

    That's possible.
I need to try more people and get back to you in a few years.

I don't really think so because I knew I was with them for certain things I liked and I just went with these and tried to get as much of them as possible rather than focusing on what was less attractive to me.  Guess I never thought in terms of love beyond just what I liked about them and mostly I had a feeling that because I was nothing so great they would in time tire of me so mostly at the first inkling of that I was gone.  The thrill and novelty of strong attraction can fade pretty fast and you are left with being mostly friends so that is what becomes most important for the long run.

I had one where I would think OK how can he be in love with me and be so negative and nasty and controlling.  Thank God he let go of me and later I found out it was nothing to do with me but he had problems of his own.
