Do you prefer your toothpaste tube to have a screw-on/off cap or the "attached cap?"

I much prefer the screw-on/off kind.

  • "Screw on/off type" ... the other type doesn't close like it should if any of the product gets into the closing area.

I'd rather have all of my teeth to make such a decision.  With what's left I use a baking soda/peroxide solution. This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at July 29, 2018 10:32 PM MDT

It hit me today when I opened my newly-bought toothpaste from its carton and I realized I was disappointed because it had one of the attached-type caps.

Now that you've made me think about it, I guess I prefer the attached type because I can deal with it one-handed which is more efficient. I don't forget to put it back on; it's an automatic gesture. Now I am going to have to check the type of cap before I buy toothpaste. Life just got even more complicated.

The one-handed aspect it a good benefit.

Even more complicated - - the cartons/boxes that my toothpaste come in do not indicate what type of caps there will be when I open it.

The screw on lid. ¬_¬ Or the other. It doesn't even matter to me as long as I can get the paste outta the tube

  • Now that's something that truly doesn't matter to me. I've had both recently and I have no clear preference.

Yeah, it's not something major but I was disappointed that I got an attached type when I opened my carton of toothpaste today. Partly for ALF's reason in his answer is why I prefer the screw on/off kind. Hey, as long as the toothpaste comes out, it's all good, ha!
