Good point. I just needed to suck out some of the hot air that is on the second floor. We dont have air conditioning upstairs where I live. I just use two industrial sized fans, and keep all the windows open. -pant-
We have a window unit up here but it costs over 300 dollars a month to run, just the upstairs. My house is 5,500 square feet and is extremely difficult to keep cool/warm without breaking the bank. My son and I want to move into a smaller place, but find the size nice because we have our own space from each other, (he needs that when living with his Mom) and the house is paid for, so our only cost is taxes and utilities.
Air will start to rush in as soon as you make an underpressure. Probably hot air from outside.
But if you have an old refrigerator with no door, and mount it in the window facing inward. Then it will actually make the room colder.
