Ever stand in your yard with a tear in your eye while shouting out - come home Lassie (or what ever the name of your missing pet was)?

I did that for 28 days once and it was horrible. The last week of the 28 days was the worst because we got hit with a bad snow storm so I started giving up hope of him ever finding his way home. But one morning there he was laying on the deck in 2 feet of snow when he heard us he started wagging his tail and it was like he made half a snow angle. He was very thin and his paws were raw and bleeding. We eventually found out these SOB's took him for a one way ride to hurt me so I started hurting them 3 kinds f ways (long - hard and frequently). Cheers!

  • Yes.  This happened with my cat, PK, but not so dramatically.  He got very upset with a house move and went into hiding.  I found him after several days by walking about shaking a treat bag.  He was hesitant to come around as if he forgot who I was.

I hope you hurt the pet abductors bad... very bad.

    Hello N:

Well, not literally..  But, I miss ALL of my pets.  I'm sorry about yours, but I'm not interested in the morbid details of his death..

I got a  turtle out of the deal  (I worked him until he turtled up on the floor) after that I worked on his reputation in the community by telling everybody what a punkey SOB he was - pretty sure a few waitress spit in his beer. Anyway some people say if you put a little butter on the bottom of a cats paws before you let them out for the first time after moving  they will always go back to the new place. Cheers!
