Yee but cannot see them...so we go to tbe next town over to watch. They put on a better show than my town. We are in our spot now waiting for them to start.
I live in a county where people love fireworks. All year they love them. They started in earnest yesterday afternoon around 4. It's still going pretty strong. The county does a show over the harbor at 9 which I can watch from my balcony. I went out and enjoyed that for a bit. It is very cool outside right now which is very surprising but we had a storm which, I guess, cooled things off real well. It's 72 degrees outside right now.
The traditional manner of celebrating freedom is against the law in town, so only the injun casinos have them. That is awfully dum when you think about it. The USA is one of the LEAST free countries in the world, and injuns are the least free Americans, but the reservations are sometimes the only place you can buy fireworks and celebrate freedom in the traditional manner.
What a piece of work!
ASIDE: The feds got their panties in a twist and raided a casino, ripping off all the slot machines. The injuns retaliated by laying logs around the trucks so they couldn't take them away. The injuns did not resist the federal robbers, and the feds had no authority to clear the roadways, so there they sat until the feds finally gave in and let the injuns keep the slot machines.
