Since my garden is mostly tomatoes, not many creatures will eat the poisonous leaves. Sometimes the rabbits sample melons but my cat stands guard at night to keep them away. If insects become a problem, I use Thiraside (sic) that is organic and safe for humans. It is made of hot peppers.

That is the answer I was looking for. Organic and safe for humans. I just dont trust store bought produce with all the poison they spray on them. Thanks bhwilson. ;))
Save all your used eggshells ,crush them up and spread them around your planted veg.....slugs and snails hate the lime in the shells and wont slime across the shells to eat their Greens..... :(
