If I HAD to choose, I'd go to the mountains, if I get to choose which one. Sea level means flooding.

We have an affinity for both settings, and my wife and I own properties in both.

Our primary residence, the Z Palace, is on the Gulf Coast of Fla, and we have our “summer place“ in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NY. This post was edited by Don Barzini at July 6, 2018 8:13 PM MDT

Right now I am in the Mountains of North Carolina visiting my sister.  Tomorrow I will head back to Florida.  Having grown up in the Desert Southwest, I have always preferred both.

  • I've lived in a valley my whole life, but I enjoy being in the mountains and I've always been more into mountainous activities than beach ones.

I would rather live in a mountainous area. It just makes for a more pleasant and pretty surrounding.   Right now my house is nine feet above sea level.  I love the Gulf and this area but I miss seasons, mountains, and tall trees.   This post was edited by Thriftymaid at July 6, 2018 8:15 PM MDT
