"Drowning" in quicksand or water which is more painful? Being burned alive or stretched on a wrack till your limbs are torn apart?
Is physicl pain always worse than any kind of emotional pain could possible be? Would you take that pain over the pain of losing your child to a cruel oppressor and never knowing what happened to him/her?
Its a toss up between drowning in quicksand or water, but being burned alive or stretched on a wrack till your limbs are torn apart sounds pretty tempting as well. But if I had only one to pick from, Id have to go with being torn from limb to limb. Who could pass something that great off unless they were being completely insane.
There was this old 'Tarzan' movie that showed some natives being tied between some trees that had been pulled back and then released. It ripped the victims in half!
