Is there a movie that went beyond scaring you, planting a seed of overwhelming terror within you?

"The Innocents" for me, starring a fabulous cast led by Deborah Kerr

~ at the time, I was MUCH, MUCH too young to watch this
~ it was a very late night showing on TV
~ I sneaked from bed to watch it while my entire family slept
~ Afterwards, I spent the rest of the night on the floor in the hallway outside of my parents' bedroom door, afraid to go back to bed
~ thoughts of the movie still scare me

A made for TV movie called "Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell". Like you, may have been my very young age, but that movie scared me so bad.

Now that I think about it, Cujo was terrifying for me, too. The book and the movie!

I don't like when animals are made into monsters! Animals are my friends!

I only know this one by the title --  I've never seen it.
    :)

PLOT SPOILER!!! "Cujo" - - call me morbid, but I was disappointed in the movie's ending that the boy survived --  in the book he dies. Seemed more real to have him die.

    It's terrifying.
Well, I don't really remember much about it, to be honest. But just the thought and picture still terrifies me!

I'd forgotten that he dies in the book. It's been a very long time since I've read or seen it.
