    Hello Rosie:

It IS gibberish..  In the English I speak, it wasn't sarcasm.  It wasn't even CLOSE to sarcasm..  Sarcasm is a friend of mine, and Donald doesn't know him.. It was HYPERBOLE..  It was PURE hyperbole. You'd think an educated man would know the difference..  No, huh??

    Hello there Rosie...

Gibberish is exactly what will win this election. What else can it be...

    Let's see....

    Honesty?...Hahahahaha...yeah...that's it...hahahaha

    Integrity?, again....Hahhahahahahaha

    Likeabil-Hahahahahahaha...hahahahaha...-ity?.....

Policy?...."Build a Wall"..."I'm good for women"...We're gonna win Bigtime"..."I'm with You"...She's Corrupt"...."He's Mentally unstable"...."Liar"..."Crooked"...."Lock her up"..."He should be committed"....Sounds more like Gibberish than policy to me

Record?....I think Both candidates would rather we didn't talk about that...

So what is left aside from Gibberish and Hyperbole?...Not much...

But that is exactly what we want, we put these people here. A woman, who if named other than Clinton would most likely be charged with criminal behavior and an absolute Clown...

A perfect case of "Careful what you ask for"....you just might get it...

    Hello des,

    How're you doing?

I think you're right.  I think we're losers no matter who wins.  That's why we need to think longer term.  We should consider the needs of the country instead of who the president will be..  No, I'm not gonna tweak your nose again, but Hillary will appoint Supreme Court justices who will FOLLOW the Constitution...  That'll keep the country free for the balance of the 21st Century..

Trumps Supreme Court will validate his Muslim ban, his media ban, and torture..  That's just for starters..  It's true..  YOUR version of what the Constitution says, and MY version aren't aligned.  But, I HOPE we're BOTH against those things..

    Hey there ex...

Doin good...Just having a well deserved lazy morning. Thinking about goin for a ride to Alice's later, we'll see...

Hope things are well for you up there, Im planning a trip up to the san Juan Islands, a friend just moved to Waldren(?) Island...

I think both sides are hoping a victory for their candidate will result in an ideological skewed court with the skewing tilting in their favor...

My personel feelings is that the Court return to its original 6 member appointment along with term limits for its members.

This would require any decision to win by a 66% vote. 4 of 6. This is what is typically required to overturn say a veto, or expel a member of congress, or end a filibuster etc....

The founders viewed the supermajority as essential in guarding against hasty decisions, As Hamilton said, They establish a salutary check calculated to guard the community from faction, or something to that effect.

The court is supposed be a check against faction, not a faction itself..

Now you and I agree that a court which upheld a religious ban or test as part of its immigration policy would be completely out of bounds. However, If the Federal government set a policy which required a certain level of backround check for a person seeking to immigrate, I would think the court would uphold such a law, given that congress has plenary power over immigration and such a law would not exclude based on race or religion...

Oh please! His vocabulary is stuck at the 4th grade level on his best days and that is an insult to all 4th graders. No disrespect to them intended. He is a big nothing and the more  inane things he says the more his adoring worshippers love him for it.  It boggles my mind excon. Nothing he says makes sense. Whatever he says he contradicts constantly. You cannot hold on to any thought or idea for long before he has reversed himself. And then he thinks he is wiping the slate clean when he sees the effect of all his nonsense and blames us for not recognizing sarcasm or that he was joking. HE IS THE JOKE but he doesn't realize it. Neither do his adoring worshippers. If/WHEN he loses by a humiliatingly large number, what are they going to do? Where are they going to go?  What recourse will they have? That is scary too. Thank you for your reply excon! :)

Well my friend Hillary would not have been my first choice as I think you know. I wanted Elizabeth Warren to run. But compared to the nutjob running against her I will vote for her. I was toying with the idea of voting for the Green Party candidate but I'm gonna hafta put my vote where I think it will do the most good. Is Hillary perfect? No. Far from it. But Trump's supporters believe he is and they will  never abandon him. No matter what disgusting and vile and inflammatory and insulting and crazy and treasonous thing he says they  cheer. Doesn't that scare you?   You are going to vote right? You won't sit this one out just because the choices are between grim and grimmer?  Anyway God Bless America. I hope we survive. Thank you for your reply des and Happy Monday! :)

    Hello again Rosie...

Yes, I will vote, although quite honestly I am not sure for who yet...

There is no candidate who will do what I think needs to be done. It is just more of the same thing that has put us here in the first place. None of them are really looking towards the future...

Same old ineffective band aid solutions for the same old problems...

Here we are rehashing and promising the same things that were of issue 8 years ago...

The world is changing, we however are not. Want an example?...Our efforts have produced cities that are waste lands, Detroit, Gary Indiana...They look like they were hit with bombs...By contrast, look at Abu Dhabi's Masdar city...They are building a 0 emission, zero waste city...Why aren't we doing that??

If I could answer that des I'd run for prez. Well I'm a bit long in the tooth to do that plus I don't lie so that lets me out.  For those of us who have a conscience it is going to be rough. For those who don't no problemo.  I have hope that the crazies will lose but one never knows . If the crazies win we are lost and at their mercy. The HEAD CRAZY  ignores freedom of press guanrateed by the Constitution. His adoring supporters care  not. Whatever he says goes. They just worship the guy. Nutjob that he is. Which makes me wonder should we be addressing the mental stablilty/accuity of  his supporters? Are they all as batsh** crazy as he is? One wonders. Fingers crossed we shall overcome. Right now I have no idea how  but I keep hoping that logic and reason will prevail and the batsh**  crazy nutjob supporters will wake up out of their trance, realize what they have done and be remorseful and fix it . Thank you for your reply des! :)

  • It means that Obama is figuratively but not literally the founder of ISIS.

Trump asserts that U.S. support of Syrian rebels led to ISIS becoming a significant organization. Without Obama's policy, ISIS wouldn't have got established. It's a foreign policy disaster, if you consider this incompetence.  It's treason, if you think Obama did it deliberately.

The media took Trump's statement literally when it is obviously just meant as a mocking criticism of U.S. foreign policy. Trump claiming sarcasm is not a retraction of his statement. It's a criticism of your failure to understand that it was figurative mockery.

I draw your attention to the dictionary definition of sarcasm. Sarcasm is not necessarily ironic. It can refer to any taunt or mockery. Mockery is almost always not literally true. It's figurative and metaphorical.

    http://www.yourdictionary.com/sarcasm

For example Trump called Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig. This is not saying she literally is a pig. It's a figurative insult that suggests that she has the qualities of a pig, not that she is an actual pig.

Imagine the media said "Oh my God. Trump thinks Rosie O'Donnell is a pig. He's hallucinating! He's psychotic! He can't see she's human!" This is what the media has done with "founder of ISIS" statement. Not too bright....

I have to admit, it's hilarious when people who are clearly much smarter than Trump, bend over backwards to justify the idiotic things Trump says.
