I don't know about afraid, but I don't like being asked, "So what do you do?" I mean, if somebody wants to go that far into initiating contact, couldn't they come up with something a little more original? I don't like my conversations to feel like interviews where I have to give the same worn-out answers and pretend to be enthusiastic about it.
