Journalist Tom Friedman calls Comrade Bonespur a "TRAITOR". Doth thou concur or remain obdurate?

  • "Traitor", now there is term that's a sticky wicket if ever there was one. It's possible, I suppose, to follow the howling mob and be right and it's also possible to examine the evidence and be wrong. Trump has managed to do for himself what his enemies couldn't do and that's the bottom line. It's like the case of Mary Surratt who was hanged by a military tribunal for conspiring to assassinate Lincoln. Her execution was to satisfy those seeking vengeance. Her son, who was in fact, an active participant in the conspiracy, was acquitted on the same evidence two years later. Everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter how shrill or how accurate it may or may not be. I'll just sit back and watch the frenzied mob go rushing by and simply remember that the first casualty of war is the truth. No matter whose truth it might be.

Sitting on the sidelines is very safe DA. Just like sitting on a fence. You are removed aloof indifferent and have the luxury of criticizing without investing any emotion. Hey if it works for you good for you. I am not so wired so therefore I am not so inclined. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to thy (it rhynes)! :)

By all definitions I understand him to be a traitor and it's all the more ironic coming from a man who spouted, 'America first' - the man has verbally, if not more than that, betrayed his own country and made it look even more a laughing stock both in the eyes of Russia, who must now be seeing America as pretty weak to have elected an imbecile who upon being told the lie that they didn't interfere simply, stupidly, believes it - and in front of the whole world.

In the eyes of his allies, he has betrayed them too
