But most of "us Boomers" were not hippies and found jobs pretty soon after their schooling was over. And even those of us who were hippies (myself included) worked various kinds of jobs though mostly low paying and never for very long. Whether we took it very seriously or not in those days we all accepted work as a natural part of life.
All they have to do is wait. Time is on their side. Those currently with position and power can't hold on to it forever.

Actually yuppies were driven go-getters while millennials somehow have the reputation for not wanting to work but wanting the government to somehow supply their necessities. Don't know how accurate that is because don't know many. Certainly my stepdaughters are willing and happy to work and even sort-of-go-getters but not to the extent that I think yuppies were supposed to be. And I know other millenials who are serious about their work. Anyway those are sort of pop culture terms aren't they? And anyway isn't youth wonderful?
