So my take away from your post is that you find nothing that’s truly indefensible?

Hi. I don't know.  I mean your question was a paradox, right?  Defending something that can't be defended.  Or a riddle or a conundrum?   If you could play such a question I guess then I thought I could play an answer.  Or maybe is just too deep for me to get.  Sorry.

Remember, "time" is also a dimension.  Ultimately, Trump cannon be defended---but many people don't realize that yet.

What does any of this have to do with Trump?  What "Trump cannon"?  Question mentioned nothing about either of those.  Why must everything on this site be turned into some kind of denunciation of Pres. Trump?   For God's sake let the guy be - he is entitled to his own life just like each one of us.  Really am sick and tired of this.

You indicated above that you weren't sure whether the question was a paradox, a riddle, a conundrum.

I just gave you an example of something I thought might help you understand.

And then Don Barzini told you that "It is a paradox. But it is also an occasional reality, individuals who, beyond rational course, stand up for things that are abominable in most people’s minds."

Which is why I used Trump and his supporters in my example.

Do you want to debate the rights of a US citizen (me) to question or comment on a currently elected US president's actions?

Read The Intellectual Life.  It was mandatory reading for the freshman class at my university in the early 60's.

It will tell you how to take a 3 day mini-vacation to cure "sick and tiredness."

No, you are right. It is a paradox. But it is also an occasional reality, individuals who, beyond rational course, stand up for things that are abominable in most people’s minds.
I appreciate your response, Officegirl, you thought it out, and that’s what I try to do, is make people think. Thank you.

    The person or the actions?

The person - anyone who has that deep compassion we should all tap into that identifies with the idea of "there but for the grace of GOD, go I", mentality.  I do ascribe to this.

The actions?  NO WAY can anyone defend something that hurts another for the sole purpose of greed or some gain for the offender.  For starters.  Actions committed are actions that must have some restitution or we have no laws to live peacefully and respectfully among our brothers and sisters.

    A big AMEN, brother.
