I voted for Hillary with a heavy heart. But the ALTERNATIVE REALITY of donjohntrump was unthinkable. Whom would YOU rather have voted for?

What other folks would you rather have had run so you could have a good field from which to choose? SIGH. That train left the station. That horse left the barn. That ship sailed. 2020 looms large. What are we gonna do to save the ship of state or do we let it just sink?

How does that math work?----More than half the country voted for Trump, but he was elected by the minority of voters.

Wrong. He was elected by the majority of electors, which resulted from him garnering the plurality or majority of the popular vote in the majority of the 50 states plus DC. That, you see, is how the system works.

Considering Hillary’s crimes are international in scope and staggering in personal enrichment, such as when she and Bill helped Russia obtain 20% of U.S. uranium in a convoluted scheme exposed last year by the New York Times that put millions in the Clinton's’ pockets. Mrs. Clinton, who created a private e-mail server to avoid FOIA requests, shared classified material with her posse of yesmen, sold her influence in the State Department to the highest bidders, attempted to destroy evidence of criminal wrongdoing. She was not an option, in my mind, to be trusted with running the country, or anything else , except perhaps the Kitchen duties in Prison.

A grand jury decided (TWICE, despite Double Jeopardy laws) that she had no case to answer.

Grand jury never decided any such thing. Jim Comey did.
Unless you got a link showed the grand jury refused to indict Hillary Clinton.

In my opinion, both Trump and Hillary are/were evil crooks.  Simply pointing to a few good accomplishments a person made doesn't make that person a "saint".
HC is a lying, wishy-washy money grubber.  She panders to whomever is around her or who can do the most for her - regardless of any issues.  She and her perverted husband will do anything for a buck.  She uses "puppy dog eyes" and the "female card" to make people feel sorry for her or to make herself out to be the victim.

DT, on the other hand, is an egotistical, self-serving, power hungry, lying money grubber.  He thirsts for power and money.  He's also stuck in the 1950's.  He foolishly thinks that what made america great back then will work for it now... just so long as it increases his portfolio.  He loves himself almost as much as he loves money.  Heck, he even hugs himself - a lot!

That's not to say any other nominee would be/is any better.

We've had this discussion before Shuhak. You equate them vis a vis evil intention. I think TGITWH is the spawn of the devil and FAR WORSE than Hillary. It doesn't matter what either of us think or wish or hope. We are stuck with the abomination in the White House and stuck with his supporters. Until when? For how long? That is TBD. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday.

Until very recently I thought impeachment was inevitable. Now I'm not so sure. The Democrats want Trump to stay right where he is for the time being, he's doing a terrific job for them - making the GOP stink.

Impeachment is not a political game. It also depends on what the office holder may or may not have actually done. Unless you can cite real evidence of an impeachable offense, you have no basis on which to judge the likelihood of his impeachment.

Receipt of emoluments, obstruction of justice, assaulting an allied leader, interference with official records and possible treason aren't enough?

Receipt of emoluments, self-evident. Visiting foreign representatives stay in HIS hotels, play golf at HIS resort, which enriches Donald Trump personally.
Obstruction of justice, also self-evident. Fired Comey and Sally Yates, putting him one up on Nixon (who didn't fire his AG, Richardson resigned).
Assaulting an allied leader, self-evident and it's on tape. Duško Markovic certainly didn't thank His Royal Orangeness for roughly and rudely shoving him aside.
Interference with official records, self-evident. As a private citizen he can do what he likes with his Twitter account, but @POTUS comes under the Presidential Records Act - officially they're "electronic memos" and as such may not be altered or deleted without departmental approval, which Trump has never even sought never mind obtained. It's a minor infraction, but still a misdemeanor.
Treason - still under investigation (Mueller), but Trump's craven simpering to Putin in defiance of his own nation's intelligence looked suspiciously like it.

Not sn assault just a nudge. But difference.

President has the right to fire any for any reason. But Comey was recommended to be fired by none other than Rosenstein. Yates refused to do her job....

Emulument is not profit from a business. It is payment/title from a foriegn gov. A business owner does not recieve an emulument from their business nor their customers. Their employee does recieve an emulument from the business...a paycheck.

Russia....not sanctions removed, more sanctions added more than once, USA armed Urkarine, kicked out Russian diplomats (most of any adminstration), closed embassies, etc. But sure continue to claim Trump is easy on Russia.

    No impeachable anything.

Vote for a third party candidate or do a write in vote like last time. The democrats seems to be moving too far left for me to consider voting for them. The GOP is a disaster and full of crony capitalists. I’m disgusted with both parties.

Amen. We agree on this Rizz word for word. Surprised I am. We need to throw them all out and start over. But with what? That's the problem. How do we know replacements would be any better? SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday.

But voting for a third-party or write-in candidate has no impact on the outcome. You may as well not have bothered to vote.

I refuse to abandon my principles and morals to vote for someone I don’t feel doesn’t hold mine. A wasted a vote is one which isn’t cast. This post was edited by Rizz at August 18, 2018 8:41 PM MDT

It's not about making me happy. It's just what is correct. Your response conveys a rather hostile attitude. What's up with that? This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at August 18, 2018 9:02 PM MDT
