I wonder, when she sees George, will she tell him that she knew he was waiting for her?

I loved Aretha and still do.  Not that this even holds a candle to Aretha and Elvis, but, it is also Madonna's birthday.  Just a little more August 16th trivia.  
How old was Aretha?  76? Some say that is young.  I say for any person in the music business and as successful as she was, that is old.  
Good for her and thanks for all the good music through out the years.  She will be missed. 

Sad day indeed. I don’t care much for the music of either, but I have much respect for them, the talent they had, and the impact they've made.
