Three-part question: [1] do you think MTV will ever go back to its format of principally airing videos, [2] would it change your viewing


habits of that channel if that were to happen, and [3] who even watches MTV any more these days?

(Personal Disclaimer: for over two decades, I've neither watched MTV, nor have I even seen a single music video on any other medium in that same time frame.  My preference for 1980s music and pre-1980s music means that I have no knowledge whatsoever of subsequent offerings.)

    1 = Nope.  Too much money in their other shows.

    2 = Nope.  Haven't watched it since the first "Road Rules" season.

    3 = I have no idea, but somebody is.


    btw - if you have cable, there are usually dozens of channels that ARE strictly music.  Not even videos, other than "screen savers".

    You only listen to 80s music?  I placed you for a definite late 50s, 60/70s classic rock sort of guy.  I guess 80s music would constitute being that now and classic rock should be ancient rock.

    1. No. Unfortunately I don't think it will go back.  I wish it would and didn't have commercials.
    2. I watched it rarely when it came out and even less now.  I might actually watch it more if it dropped commercials and silly movies and whatever else it is trying to do.
    3. Not anyone I know.  They used to, big time.

      I primarily listen to 80s music, also 70s and 60s. I can barely name any song or artist or group of the 90s and beyond.
