    That would be like: If you break and replace the handle of your Grandfather's axe...is it still your Grandfather's axe? How about the same if you replace the head of the axe?

    Well if you replace both it is no longer grand pa's. If you replace a part and retain a part the part you retained belonged to grandpa so yes it is still grandpa's ax only the handle/head had to be replaced.   I think.
