Of course not, in fact, quite the opposite, I'd join you. I think a lot of us, both male and female, are wholly unprepared for relationships in adulthood largely because no foundation for them is laid out at young ages. That's regardless of the type of adult relationships, meaning male-female, male-male, female-female, etc.
No - I guess that means you did not play with or interact with girls or know any very well growing up. Which I think is symptomatic of society all too often today. The sexes do not grow up interacting as they did in my day so they develop unrealistic fantasies and expectations about and of one another.
