When you give a speech is it good to ramble like a tumbleweed? Hither and yon on and on and on and on? Why?

    A speech like that would make the speaker sound like he doesn't have a full grasp of his or her own mind.. which in turn would lose the speaker credibility. Also, if a speech isn't coherent the listeners switch off... The speaker would be viewed as a blithering idiot - literally

    I had a certain someone in mind.. talks nonsense non-stop and sounds barely literate in his vocabulary
