Most definitely! Problem is, it'll never happen. Those "career politicians" will never give up their cushy jobs, and they'll kill any bill that tries.
Another thing - Most people dislike these politicians who've been there "forever". They continuously grip and moan about them. Yet come election time, they always seem to win. People either have very short memories or there are fixed elections (as in buying votes).
I think when it comes to voting for something like term limits, it should be a referendum voted on by the public and not voted upon by those to whom it would apply.
It would take an amendment. Good luck with that!! That came from the Supremes in 1995.

More than that. It takes an amendment.....2/3 supermajority of Congress and ratification by 38 out of 50 states (3/4). Never gonna happen. I would love to see it happen, but realistically...............
Personally, I'd prefer an open season be declared with guaranteed immunity and a maximum of---Oh, lets say a bag limit of 25 prior to November elections---maybe in late August.
Alternately----and an arguably better solution---if we can't find better candidates, perhaps we could find better voters.
And how little time would you want a man with the intelligence and learning and a commitment of a John McCain to spend serving in the US Senate?---whether you liked him or not, if you did not respect his positive qualities that says more about you than him.
This question has been around for years, and I have never given it the thought it deserves, so I really don't have an opinion.
