Why do Republicans HATE Democrats so much more than Democrats HATE Republicans (with the exception of donjohn whom we despise)?

Can you answer me that? The vicious vitriolic venal diatribes. The plots and shenanigans in which Republican engage just because their HATE is so great is astonishing to me. To thee as well? Has there ever been any Republican as hateful and vicious as DA GUY what sits in the White House and tweets his rages? Sheesh.

I wanted to ignore this and move on. How can you sit there and act like only republicans hate democrats? How many republicans cover their faces, assault democrats, burn buildings, and damage property? Do you pay attention? Both sides are full of people who hate the other side. To pretend it’s almost exclusively one side is ignorant and delusional.

How many conservatives try to or succeed in shutting down liberal speakers at universities? I only see liberals do this. Look how liberals demonize republicans as racists, sexist pigs bigots, and Nazi’s.  This post was edited by Rizz at August 29, 2018 9:09 PM MDT

That's apparently your (lopsided) opinion, and it's obviously based on your hatred of Republicans, something that you've OFTEN stated on here. Look up the word 'bias', please. Neither Democrats nor Republicans are 100% of anything, yet you spew one-sided, myopic tantrums every day. You don't usually exhibit any ability to look at issues fairly, and this post is par for your course of action. People are entitled to believe what they want to believe, even inaccuracies.

I don't see that as true.  Is not the people we hate but the whole philosophy of the Democratic party which in just 20 years has done everything it possibly can to ruin this country for good God-fearing, hard working people who just want to make a living and enjoy the fruits of their labors. The people themselves are just unthinking and misguided souls who just assume everything they have came naturally so do not value it and are willing to sell it all or give it away to the highest bidder of the most noble cause.   I voted as a Democrat for many years but that all changed when the party platforms got so outrageous and impractical and went off the deep end.

Characteristic of Democratic thought in recent years -

    Expensive social engineering experiments.
Hatred and jealousy of anything that smacks of success and well-being.
Desire to tear down all institutions that have served us well since before the beginning of this country.
Always looking for a handout, trying to get something for nothing.
Always stirring up trouble where none exists - dividing people and playing off such divisions to create more divisions and turmoil. Suspicion of any stability.
Smuggling illegals in to vote for them and paying for their upkeep.
    Massive voting place fraud.
Obsession with government and using governmental power to further their agendas.
Accusing their opponents of "hatred" and "racism" where none exists.
Enshrining "victimhood" as "sacred" to keep people dependent rather than promoting self-actualization and self-realization.

Its not so much that Democrats "hate" Republicans but that they just don't even acknowledge us at all - we don't even exist to them. They think they know best!  Therefore they can just dismiss anything we have to say.  The election of Donald Trump in 2016 is a case in point.  Even though Clinton polled more votes they just were unable to accept that Trump won so they had to come up with "Russian Meddling" and "collusion" to explain it.  Fairy tales. Which then to "prove" they  had to sponsor a big witch hunt which had to get further and further afield into other areas to come up with any wrongdoing.  And go even further by bringing indictments against regular folks just doing their jobs. All to just make them feel better about themselves.  My goodness how petty.  Unable to just live and let live.  I am truly sorry I have lived to see a party which I once valued and honored sink to such goings-on.  I am now a "Republican" because the Democratic party no longer represents me.  It has become the party of extremists, those who feel guilty,  wishful thinking, and pie-in-the-sky (paid for by our tax dollars).

OK you asked for it - these are some of the things I, and some other Republicans, have trouble with.

The basic rule is that humans come to hate those whom they oppress.

That is very big tom! You know in cartoons where a light bulb turns on over someone's head indicating he/she "gets it"? That's exactly what your few words just did for me. If they "come to hate those they oppress" that must mean they didn't hate them to begin with? I"m gonna ask. Thank you for a very valuable bit of information. It's undoubtedly something I should have known or learned long ago. I know with the Stockholm syndrome the abused learn to love their abusers. But I never thought about what or how the abusers feel about those they abuse! That's why I'm here. I learn new stuff every day. Some of it is very big. This is one of 'em. SIGH. Sadly.
