No it's racism. But Darwin also said that black people are in his opinion most closely related to gorillas, and no one appears to have taken offense at that? Still he said that we are all related to a distant cousin of the gorilla and no one has taken offense at that either? We are also meant to shart 50% of our DNA with a banana!! Darwin also said the Irish bred like rabbits and risked a civil society, this is a man who's family inbred with another in order to breed a superior stock of intelligence and instead had not learned the rules of the gene pool ie spread them around a bit.
Some people will always prefer to think they are better than other's be it class or race, I find class more of a problem in society, the chasm between the rich and the poor, and the sick and the healthy is insurmountable. But I wouldn't want to live in a communist society either, that would be absolutely suffocating.
Thank you for a very thoughtful and informative reply kj. Here are my thoughts on that. We all started from the same place. Whether one attributes it to GOD or SCIENCE matters not. That means we are all sisters and brothers and the same. What we look like outside is not indicative of anything. It's just packaging. Content is what matters. Packaging gets trashed. Yet some folks take great pride in their ignorance. SIGH. I don't know why, do you?
There wasn't even the slightest insinuation of racism in what he said.You need to get your info straight as usual. The man was referring to not playing fast and loose with what's at stake in the upcoming election. He never referred to his opponent as a "monkey" or any other name. He referred to the urgency of not screwing it up in November. As in: Don't louse it up, don't screw around with it, don't monkey it up. I think the message was more than appropriate as the mayor of Tallahassee is a dangerous Socialist who has bankrupted the city and has presided over one of the more crime ridden municipalities in that state. He wants to do the same for the entire state along with a billion dollar tax increase.
