http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/french-pm-backs-burkini-bans-as-three-more-towns-consider-outlawing-garments-a7195136.html Honestly? I doubt it's really about the swimsuits representing the "enslavement of women."
Silly emphasis on the irrelevant.
So lets go find the little green men in the flying saucers. Then we can all get together about despising them ;-))
Some1UMayNo - Relations between cultures can't be compared to relations between individuals.
My perspective is accurate because it's an assessment of the compatibility of western civilization with middle eastern civilization. Of course any population shows variation among individuals and there are going to be some who share common ground. I have friends of different faiths too, including Islam. In fact one of the best people I've ever met identified as a Muslim. Though she was very liberal. To consider her in any way representative of Islam is just false.
Relationships between individuals are different because individuals can agree to disagree whereas cultures can't. For example, the Koran teaches homosexuality is a crime. A government must decide whether to execute homosexuals in accordance with Sharia law or whether to follow western liberal ideas. A compromise, such as a lesser form or punishment, is not acceptable to either side.
There is not a single country in the world with a Muslim population greater than 15% and less than 100% that doesn't have unrest.
Some1UMayNo - Everything you just said is completely irrelevant. I just don't care who is more at fault. Even if we were more at fault, so what? That doesn't change anything.
I will never understand the self hatred that western liberalism teaches people. I'm not responsible for what western governments may or may not have done in the last 1300 years. It's just not on me.
I'm an individual and I wish to live in a society that has my values. It's not in my interest to let Muslims in to my country, so I don't want to let them in.
