2005, Katrina. GWB takes unending criticism for flying over New Orleans. 2016, floods. Obama stays on vacation and no one says anything.

DTT, maybe it's coincidence that Obama is always in Hawaii when important things happen, but when you think about it, he delegates authority to people to take care of the small stuff, meaning the business of the US. Lol.

You got to love the double standard.

1. Obama took care of this. GOP media is only trying to use it as a sticking point, because of what happened to GW Bush with Katrina.
2. Obama called the governor and wanted to go in person to offer assistance, but the governor told him not to come because he already had his hands full. Getting security for a President of the United States take a lot of state resources. So the governor told Obama to wait until a week late.
3. Obama is on vacation so he is continuing vacationing his two-week vacation. However, he wanted to go to Lousiana immediately. At least Obama is considerate and cooperative with the governor's wishes.

Speaking of vacations?  Why don't you take one?
