    I can only speak generally... time is and always will be a factor in anything, to say otherwise would be odd. Truth should count for more when time isn't life or death.

    It was in reference to pushing through the Kavanaugh confirmation. The Republicans are frenzied and frantic and terrified that if they don't shove his nomination through NOW they won't get him confirmed. So here time is of the essence to them because taking more time to find the truth is obviously something they want to avoid at all costs. Which means they don't trust Kavanaugh. If they did they would let the FBI do a thorough background check. They would interview all relevant parties. They are going to fight doing that on the obvious ruse that time is running out. It isn't but they lie all the time anyway about everything so why should this be any different? Thank you for your reply Addb! :)
