Is the real sad news today that Brett Kavanaugh is going to stay Supreme Court judge despite his obvious mental instability?

I’m going to avoid discussing the Kavanaugh situation and focus on what today's vote was. Today’s vote was to end questionig, debating, to move to the final and official vote tomorrow. The Senate has until 4:52 EST to cast their votes to confirm him or deny his nomination. The votes todsy were close, 51-49. Not all aye votes were in favor of his nomination. There are three crucial senators who haven’t made up their mind. It’s stil up in the air. This post was edited by Rizz at October 5, 2018 8:31 PM MDT

    *Note
Kavanaugh would actually have to BE a “Supreme Court judge” (they are known as JUSTICES) to actually stay one. He isn’t one, yet.

    But NO.
REAL sad news is more along the lines of people dying of horrible diseases, being murdered, children starving, innocents caught in the crossfire of wars, humanity staring down the barrel of a world increasingly unable to support us all. The Kavanaugh thing is a trifle by comparison. This post was edited by Don Barzini at October 5, 2018 10:53 PM MDT

The tragedies of common folk don’t “sell papers” as they used to say.

  • If honesty and exemplary public service is a sign of mental instability, then we all need to be crazy. When he becomes associate justice, I hope he lives to be a hundred. It will take about that long to get this God awful nation back on track.

I’d be interested to know when you consider it was ever actually “on track”.

Does he pollute the earth merely by virtue of being a Republican?

Please rant accurately: Kavanaugh has never ever been a Supreme Court Justice, so there's no way he could "stay" in a position he has never held nor currently holds.
