Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Some folks only ever visit an internet social site to criticize or hack and slay. Some visit to play. Why do you show up?
For me, it's a combination of fun, entertainment, and interacting with others without having to do my hair and makeup. ( I am kind of kidding about the last part). I do enjoy interacting with others and of course the humorous posts, as well as learning a thing or two.
I'm here to learn which why I ask a zillion questions. Questions beget more questions beget more questions. I am very lucky in that there are a few kind folks here who give their time to helping me learn about things I don't know. My teachers. There is at least a bazillion things I don't know so they have their work cut out for them! Thank you for your reply lavender. All great reasons to be here to be sure! :)
It's just a fun way of interacting with others. Sometimes I get a laugh out of it or get the opportunity to see things from a different perspective. I've incidentally make a friend or two, which is always a nice bonus.
I'm too selrighteous to say I come to learn. And since my ideas are obviously too important to keep quiet, I make sure I share them with those lucky enough to come across them. I also enjoy making personal connections with people I would never interact with in the outside world. I've changed my mind about many things just because I was able to talk to someone with views completely opposite to mine.

You mean self-righteous folks are incapable of learning anything? Is that because they already know everything? Geez what does that feel like I wonder. Funny odd that you would start out on THAT TRACK which is definitely a negative in my opinion and end up in such a good place. Which is to say you learn from those with whom you interact even if it is only about waht NOT to believe. Sounds okey dokey to me and is definitely YOUR cuppa tea! Thank you for your reply some of which may be teasing. Was it?Why I ask is that I am basically a serious and therefore often don't know if someone is seriously honest in self-assessment or just teasing. it's a cross I bear. Everyones's got one. They're just different.
You're right; you do a lot of criticizing here in this website every day, don't you? [Mods, don't even dare classify this response as personal or as an attack. It responds directly to what she asks, is accurate and truthful, is not a criticism of her, and says nothing negative about her. If criticizing is wrong, then you wouldn't allow her to do it umpteen times a day every single day.]
