Things are going south for super don. Fox News listed all his financial entanglements with the Saudis. Why?

Beause superduper don said he had no financial interest in Saudi Arabia or Russia for that matter.

Fox also dumped him as its star attraction. His ratings are dropping and we all know ratings are the only thing that matters.

The super don may well fail at convincing folks that the Saudis were INNOCENT of all charges. What will he do? No echo chamber to agree with him? A Congress that may well rise up against him? He has no use for speaking out against inhumane treatment of anyone. Surprisingly others seem to and that is the bridge too far. Will he back down as he sometimes does or will he double down? Will Lindsay Graham keep up the attack or will he fall back and be a good little boy? Tune in tomorrow. See what happens! What could it hurt?

This could just be a blip on the radar screen L. Anyway you know what's very telling? The hordes of trumpicans who usually come out to defend him are very silent and quiet and maybe hiding under the covers.  Could this heinous thing be too much EVEN FOR THEM to stomach? I dunno. So far they accept adore support defend everything you know hoo sez and duz. The silence is deafening. If he loses them he's got no one. We'll see. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee! :)

I surely hope you're right because they have let him get away with an awful lot up to now.  He will always have that base who will follow him to the ends of the earth, but it would be nice to see cooler heads prevailing.  Happy Thursday. :)

His current adoring worshippers clearly embrace his love of savagery and bestiality and venality and admiration for murdering monstrous SOB's. They stick by him no matter what. They have become him. Sad and too bad and egad! SIGH. Thank you for your reply L! :)

I agree.  I'm sure that our alliance with Saudi Arabia is a complicated one.  I understand Trump's logic when he says he doesn't want to do something that will hurt the producers of military equipment and others, but this morning I read something about it only being $14+ billion that is in contention, not the $110 billion he claims (shocking, I know).  Apparently, the Saudis have already paid the $14.2 billion, but the contract for the balance has not yet been finalized.  I can't seem to locate that article at the moment, so I'm not sure of its accuracy.  That is not to say that $14.2 billion is a drop in the bucket, but at some point, how do we claim the high ground if we're willing to accept any brutality from any government because they buy our products.

That's an excuse L. In my opinion this entire protection of Saudis is directly connected to the billions they have paid super don for real estate purchases etcetera. He is in bed with them financially and has been for decades and so is Jared and Ivanka. Solidly and eternally. That is all he ever cares about despite his rhetoric which we all know is mostly lies. He lies as easily as he breathes. It is part of him. If he and his young whelps gained financially by dumping the Saudis he would do that in a heartbeat. Whatever increases the bottom line of the super dons is what he cares about. All the rest is window dressing! My opinion.

I agree that he's in it for himself, but our "alliance" with the Saudis goes back much farther than Trump.  Because of our dependence on Middle East oil, I'm sure there have been any number of earlier administrations that have overlooked a lot of things that have gone on there - not just with the Saudis.  It's hypocritical at best and unethical at worst.  One day we will really start getting serious about renewable energy.  While the gas and oil industry may suffer some, think of all the new jobs that would be created with renewable energy industries.  We would be smart to get ahead on this before there is no more oil to pump out of the earth.  Happy Friday. :)

We no longer rely on their oil from what I have gathered L. Didn't  they cut us off bigly for some reason decades ago and now we import from Canada and Mexico NOT the Saudis? I'll Google it and come back. Thank you for your thoughtful reply! :) I'll find out and ask a question about it. I Googled and asked a question about it L. We produce about 40% of the crude we use. We import from CANADA about 40%. We get about 9% from the Saudis and 7% each from Mexico and Venezuela and about 6% from Nigeria.Per 2017. I expect it varies a bit from year to year. Thanks for checking this out so thoroughly.  So, then if we aren't dependent on them for our oil, we are dependent on them to buy our planes.  If they don't buy them from us, do they then go to Putin?  Happy Saturday. :)

You're welcome sweetie. I got curious about it but I have also read that it isn't over $100 billion in orders for planes that we have from them but about $14.5 billion. More lies from butcher-loving don.  No. What is it then you ask? It's the billions of dollars the Saudis have spent on trump and jared. The billions more they will spend on trump and jared. It's always been about the money for the trumps. Nothing else matters. Everything he tells us are lies.  SIGH. What else is new?   :( This post was edited by RosieG at October 20, 2018 7:44 AM MDT

Thanks, Rosie.  I also read that it's a solid $14.5 billion with the possibility of more orders that would total the rest.  I agree that much of it is what Trump will get out of them.
