    You got it.

    My #1 Favorite Movie.

I've taken several trips to that cemetery. That building in the upper left area of the screen still looks exactly the same. I've always thought Judith O'Dea, 'Barbara,' ran well. And we both know she ran a lot in the beginning of this movie.

  • I was about 5 or 6 when this came out.  Scared the crap out of me.  Great classic.

To both you and Lavender~ Being one who doesn't like to be scared, it is probably one I would not have watched by choice. I get startled when someone says, "Boo" in the night! :D!
However, having read both your comments and googling it,  I now know it is a "must see!"
"Have a lil' cultua'!  Be brave and sit down and watch the darn thing!"
Don knew immediately about it when I told him the title.
I'll make him watch it with me!
    Thanks Welby! :) :)

    You're welcome, Merlin!
    :)

I admit that I'm completely biased in favor of the movie. I've liked it even before I saw the movie - - I first read co-screenplay author John Russo's novelization in book form of the movie. I knew the entire story before seeing the movie -- that's something I usually don't like to do. I now prefer knowing next to nothing about a movie before seeing it.
After reading and immensely liking the book, I eventually saw the movie.
The movie didn't disappoint me at all.

  • Just saw it, thanks  Merlin!   Let me know what you think when you see it.   As a child it scared me, but I have seen it as an adult, and of course it doesn't have the same effect.  Still a great film though.

Isn't it funny how far we've come in movie making, itself?  What seemed scary and believable as children now doesn't seem so frightening.  However, a good show is never something to miss!
I will definitely let you know what I think as soon as I do. :)

I'm off to work but look forward to seeing you and everyone else on my return!
Have a great day! :) :) This post was edited by Merlin at October 20, 2018 6:46 PM MDT

lavender helped me remember something about the movie. It's not the same thing lavender mentions, she makes a good point. The movie for me still frightens me a lot. I know you didn't say this about the movie, lavender, but I thought of it after reading our comment.
The movie gets ripped a bit by some people for - - (this is not plot spoiler) - - its low budget and questionable acting.
It's funny -- it's that same acting by the cast that, to me, adds such realism of the story.  Very raw and real to me. Granted, it's a far-fetched plot. But the movie addresses it all so realistically for me - - even as a teenager, I always thought, "If this scenario ever took place, this is just how people would behave."
    :)
