  • Most are/were too strict.  Google Answers "retired" and Yahoo Answers! has always been full of report trolls & administration who ran everyone off.

    I didn't even last 6 months on Yahoo before getting banned. You only needed to piss off one person.

  • When it first got started there were report mobs that emailed each other to report content they didn't like or agree with.

  • It seems that way. I've been on a number of them, including EP, answerbag, SW, and Yahoo Answers. SW seems to be pretty active, though.

  • I don't believe they have.  Quora is still busy enough, although I much rather hang out here...and this place has its busy times as well - thankfully.

  • if Q & A sites have gone the way of the dinosaurs, then perhaps there will soon be a big budget Hollywood movie made about answerMug starring "Just Asking" and co-starring all of its citizens,  like the dinosaurs got. It'll be a jurassic-sized hit!  I smell an "Oscar."
