That is so sweet to hear D. You do know a lot about a lot of things and I've learned about them from you. Despite your tender age I say you are wise beyond your years. BUT here's the thing. You have never talked down to me or implied that I dare not question you because YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL. I think folks like that need to get over themselves. You aren't full of yourself. You aren't supercilious, arrogant, condescending. That I do not like much. Actually not at all. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to thee! :)

I view myself as a professional nobody really Rosie and I try not to look down on nobody either...saying that...@ five feet 2 ,most grow ups have to look down on me...:)
I have varied interests in so many things mostly because of my parents and grand parents ...as a kid we were all encourage to ask questions about anything and I had my nose in everything my dad was working on...
So many things now fascinate me ,it also feels good to pass on the things I find out about....
i don't think you've ever upset me in anyway Rosie...It also amazes me where all your questions come from...you post so many ,yet not one seems to be duplicated....lol.   Xxx This post was edited by Nice Jugs at October 25, 2018 4:32 AM MDT

Thank you for the kind words my friend. Well more questions occur to me every day. I doubt I shall ever run out of them. On the other hand I am POSITIVE I must have asked the same questions more than once. My interests aren't that different today than they were in February 2005 when I joined Answerbag. When I ask a question I forget all about it and move on to the next and I can't remember what I've asked and when. Thirteen years of thousands of questions and I betcha there are a humongous number of dupes among them. I think I told you a coupla years ago on Answerbag a member asked where all my questions came from and wondered if I had a book of a thousand questions that I used  as my source. I told him no. I said you can't ask relevant pertinent meaningful questions from a book. You have to ask questions about what is going on around you NOW. I get questions from answers of certain folks like you as you well know. The rhyming slang f'r instance. And your reply was wondrous and astonishing. I had no idea of the breadth and depth of that occurring among Brits. Or Aussies for that matter. I just thought there were maybe a couple of dozen and wow was I ever wrong!  You were the only one who answered it which was typical! I think it's VERY GOOD that so many things fascinate you D. I do believe that is the key to staying young mentally. Now I know you're young but just wait 50 years! I think you will be as curious then as you are now or even MORE SO and I won't be around to say "I told you so" but you have an excellent memory and my words will tickle your brain then. I betcha! Thank you for your reply D and Happy Thursday to thee. I've told you this before but it bears repeating. That entire thread a couple years ago about hands. Remember? You weren't shining me on or being sarcastic. You took it seriously and shared how beautiful your mother's hands are. That cinched it for me. You ARE special! So there! :) ((hugs)) This post was edited by RosieG at October 25, 2018 2:51 PM MDT

Lucky guy your dad. Very smart too. So your mom is very open about her feelings. Very honest. This  is weird D. I'm getting pictures in my brain of Katharine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn. I don't think they were related but does your mom look like either of them? Maybe I picture them because they were so expressive and also so delicate and refined. I picture your mom as that kind of lady. Thank you for your reply m'dear and Happy Friday. I'm so excited D! My sis and brother-in-law who live in Carson City, Nevada are driving down today for my sister's high school reunion. She'll see her high school pals after 55 years! Those who are still alive! Anyway the reunion is tomorrow night and they got a motel close by the Country Club in West Covina which is about 75 miles from us. They'll go straight there today to rest up (the drive is over 500 miles) but tomorrow morning they'll come out to Hemet to spend a few hours and we'll go out to breakfast so oboy!  Hope your tomorrow will be an "oboy" too! :) This post was edited by RosieG at October 26, 2018 2:35 AM MDT

I would say my mum looks more like Grace Kelly ,she has an identical twin sister to....my aunt has a daughter that is so alike me as well although she it not as loud and does far less cranky things to her family or others.....
There have been many times my dad could not tell my mum and her sister apart.....more so it get far worse when he's tipped a few Dow his neck at family parties....my uncle has the same problem and he always gives me a cuddle thinking I'm his daughter.....
Our home has always been a happy one and every one including our grand parents are always up to all sorts of shenanigans.......our huge family parties are always great fun.....

I hope ope you have a nice time with your sis and B.I.L Rosie......it's so good to keep in touch I think....

As I read your description of your home life I thought of one of my favorite movies D! It's very old and stars Lionel Barrymore and Jean Arthur and Jimmy Stewart! It's about a very loving happy family whose members are somewhat atypical to say the least! The boy comes from a very rich upper crusty family so their social status is very snobbish. It ends well. Very well. The father snob turns out to be a great old guy and at the end the mother snob even cracks a smile so there is hope that they will all live happily ever after together! It's just such jolly good fun but also has some serious parts and mostly has a lot of heart!  The name of it is "You Can't Take it With You"! Thank you for the description of your family. Wow! Grace Kelly you say? A twin to boot? And you and your cousin look so alike folks confuse the two of you too? Every day must be a different sort of pleasure for all of you. Very nice to know D. I think when you live in a very happy environment it flows through to those with whom you interact. You can't help it! This post was edited by RosieG at October 26, 2018 1:34 PM MDT

I'm the middle of three sisters ,two older brothers and one youngest brother.....there is around two years approximately between us all....the older one always fussed over the next one in line ,so we are all very close...
Every one in my close family and quite zany in different ways really...quite often my dad is the worst ,after me of course...my mum always insisted he got far worse not long after I was born and our house was never ever the same...

I still do terrible things to my parents when I go home......I often forget where I've hidden the pranks I've left for them..... Mostly they know it's me though....lol This post was edited by Nice Jugs at October 27, 2018 5:26 AM MDT

Do you have the cable channel Turner Classic Movies in your country D? That delightful movie turns up on that channel from time to time. The individuals in the family are all absolutely delightful and different from one another. They each march to a different drummer but the music they generate is beautiful. Being a family of individuals who love one another has gotta be the most fun way to grow up. No cookie-cutter-sameness. I think if you should ever see the movie you will see what I mean. What kind of "pranks" D? Can you give me an example? Oh. Is any of your family on Answermug? I wouldn't want you to "out" yourself. The value of pranks is the unexpected. I have heard that the actor George Clooney always pranks his pals and they prank him back. Good-natured fun but they keep trying to "up" one another and make the pranks bigger and better! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday to thee. My sis will be here in about 3 hours! She called me last night from their motel! OH  BOY!:):):) This post was edited by RosieG at October 27, 2018 4:36 PM MDT

I will have look on ytube for that film Rosie..sound like one I would enjoy watching ...lol
No...none of my family are on here ...least I do t think so....lol
Hard to say what I get up to....they are a thing of the moment and kind of one off things that would make no sense if you didn't know my family and the mishaps that's napped to us all over the years....
You really need to be a fly on the wall and know about the things that's happened in the past to understand ...
Hope you are haveing or had a nice nice time with your sister .....xxxxx N.J .

Hi there D! We had such a wonderful time! They arrived about 8am. I had invited our dear neighbor friend and her son to join us for breakfast. She is kinda like a sister to both Jim and me and I thought that my sister Carol and she(her name is Wilma) would hit if off splendidly! Oh my gosh! It was beyond wonderful! Everyone was chatting and happy and joyful. It was pure bliss! Then we came home and Wilma's son had some things he had to do but she came over and we just sat and chatted for a couple of hours. Carol and her husband left about 1pm to go back to the motel, rest, shower and get ready for the reunion. Carol and Wilma clicked even better than I thought they would! It was the kind of get-together you wish would never end! Thank you for your comment sweetie! I would grade the time together an A++++++++! Changing gears here. As for what interests you I think the more things that do the more complete life you will have lived. I guess narrow interests work for some folks but as for me my mind wanders all over the place all the time.  From politics to quantum physics to TV shows to favorite lines of poetry to new scientific discoveries to what makes people tick? I never know in advance where I'm gonna go or where I'll end up so I'm always surprised! Happy Sunday to thee  D! :)

Some folks stay out of politics and religion discussion-wise. Not their cuppa tea. I stay out of "ADULT CONTENT" discussion. Not my cuppa tea talking about sexual depravity or whatever the he** they talk about on those "adult" sites.  Different strokes. I wasn't this involved in politics before. When Obama won I felt so proud to be an American. With the dippidy doo I'm so embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated and  enraged and infuriated and disgusted. I hope I can recover from him. In order to do that he has to go away and stay and shut up. Since I doubt that will ever happen until he dies of old age I doubt any recovery for me is in the cards. We all have our burdens to carry and the dippidy doo is just another burden for US citizens. Thank you for your reply D and Happy Monday to thee! :)

Some times you have to let things go Rosie or they will end up making you I'll......There is also the fact that if it's all you ever talk about ,people will beging to drift away and seek out more intresting things to talk about.....Varied interests are the spice of life I think...lol

LOL. Funny thing is, Rosie believes that I think my crap doesn't stink, even though she barely knows me at all, but she won't say anything directly about it to me. Instead, she posts questions like this (this is the second identical one since yesterday) with me in mind. Actually, it's kind of funny, and I'm having a chuckle or two imagining Little Rosie McMuffet perched on her tuffet. Guess I should be flattered that she spends so much time and effort thinking about little old me!

I can imagine how angry Rosie must feel about who get elected in America.....I feel the same about the twats that get elected in England ....They are all there to line their own pockets and care nothing for the people that live here.....

I agree, but unfortunately, she has a tendency to vent at people on here such as myself. But I didn't vote for Trump, so whatever she may think, his election wasn't my fault.

For the life of me ,I can never get to grips with how these people ever get elected... We had a retard called Blair that's responsible for so many people's deaths and all for his own greed and trying to act the big man...
