Tactics vary. Some say they'll do and don't. Some don't say a word and do. Isn't surprise a compopnent of winning?

If you're telegraphing your future moves aren't you giving aid and comfort to your opponents? Giving them a head's up so they can prepare to take you down and out? Who does that?

    "Winning". "Opponents". "Aid and comfort".  "Take you down and out".   Why do you imagine everything is always so ruthless?  We can win without having any opponents or giving anyone aid and comfort or taking anyone down and out.  In winning we don't have to make the other guy lose.

      It seems the answer would depend on the situation, there's no one way to look at it without knowing the specifics.
