    Probably the only Western country. Of course, in Australia you can be killed by a snake, spider, jellyfish, octopus etc. Do you know what you won't be killed by? An assault rifle.

    I had to watch out for creeps when I waited for the bus as a kid. There were some rather disturbed individuals living in the area so there was always a parent accompanying us kids there.

    Not for me or the kids in our neighborhood.  Much to my dismay, when I was in high school, the bus stop was right in our driveway.  It was very safe... unless you wanted to skip school that day.
